Fruit Bowls

The Quintessential Fruit bowl: this is one of my favorite breakfasts when I’ve got a few ingredients to work with or when I’m not in the mood for a smoothie. You can go as simple as tossing around a couple chopped fruits in a bowl a calling it gourmet, or you could really pack in the nutrients and flavor with add-ins like cacao nibs/dark chocolate syrup (low sugar or sweetened with agave), hemp seeds, flax, nuts– even shredded coconut.

Here I added one whole apple, one banana, 5-4 strawberries, half a kiwi, and one mandarin.  After finishing them I’m always satisfied because fruit naturally contains a high fiber, mineral, and vitamin content with a surprisingly low calorie count.

Meaning? You’ll be filled and your body will need time to break down your breakfast, holding off even the worst case of morning munchies.
